Creating an event is the first step toward opening registrations. Start with the basics. You can return later to improve the details, add more tickets, or adjust your registration form.

What you need before you start

Try to have the following ready:

  • Event name
  • Start and end date and time
  • Venue address, or virtual event details
  • A short description of what the event is about
  • A banner or event image, if available
  • The first ticket type and its price

Create the event

  1. Go to Events in your organizer dashboard.
  2. Choose Create Event.
  3. Enter the event name, dates, and location.
  4. Add a short description that explains who the event is for and why they should attend.
  5. Add your event banner or image. Choose an image that still looks clear on a phone screen.
  6. Save the event details.

At this point, your event is the place where you will set up tickets, registration questions, payments, and check-in.

Add your first ticket

Go to Ticketing and create a ticket option. Give it a clear name people will understand, such as:

  • General Admission
  • Student Pass
  • Early Bird
  • VIP Pass

For each ticket, decide:

  • Price: What the attendee pays.
  • Quantity: How many people can buy this ticket.
  • Availability: When people can start and stop buying it.

Keep it simple: If this is your first event, begin with one ticket type. Add more only when people genuinely need a different price, access level, or registration experience.

Check your event before sharing it

Open the event preview and read it like an attendee would. Make sure the event name, date, location, ticket name, price, and organizer contact information are correct.

Next step

Use the launch checklist to finish the small set of tasks that make your event ready for registrations.
